I haven't seen the movie. Just going by the trailer.

Senator sucker: "Our priority here is to have the Ironman armor turned over to the American people".

Tony Stark: "Well you can forget it. We're safe. America is secure. You want my propery? You can't have it! But I did you a big favor! I have successfully privatized world peace."

Like I said, I haven't seen the movie. Someone may chime in with how it's all NWO propaganda about how Al Qaeda will get us if we don't turn over our freedoms, but the themes in the trailer seem pro liberty. You can't have my property? America is secure already? I'm not giving what I built to "the people"? World peace (and the power to enforce it) should be privatized and in the hands of the individual? And talk about 2nd amendment! I'd take a flying bullet proof suit with repulsar rays and wrist rockets over a 9 MM any day of the week.

Speaking of bullet proof armor, I'd love to get one of these:

I like the idea that he is an individualistic businessman whose product has ended the government's monopoly on "protection", much to the chagrin of his rent-seeking competitor who tries to use violence to get rid of Tony Stark. However, other than that, it was mostly just fighting scenes, which aren't very philosophically insightful.

I'd rather have space marine power armor:
