Just to give a quick introduction, Dino LaVerghetta is an attorney at a law firm in Manhattan. He's seeking the Republican nomination to run in New York's 14th Congressional District (where I live) against the Incumbent Carolyn Maloney, our horrible Democrat in office since 1993. He's been endorsed by the Manhattan Libertarian Party, and both the New York County Republican Party and the Queens County Republican Party. He's a fiscal conservative, and a self-described libertarian with some progressive leanings. He's also on our side against empire and neo-conservatism. Don't agree with him on everything, but his setbacks are minor in relation to the important things. Many CFL people in NYC support him.
He's been on the PatriotRadio.com program a few times and I've called intwice to get his positions on specific issues. I didn't necessarily get specific answers but good overviews on where he stands. I asked about his position on Ron Paul's Audit the Fed bill, and whether or not he thinks our fiat currency will collapse eventually. I also asked him for his take on the Afghan War, because foreign policy is where Republicans tend to be farthest from our movement. He didn't do too bad.
