Let's hope the majority of Republican voters in CT do in fact support Schiff. I think the ball kicking ad has played in his favor.

I don't know, I wouldn't conclude that he's winning so carelessly. I'd want to see that poll be at least 500 people, 2000 would be nice.

The margin of error for this poll is 10%, and Peter has a 4% lead in a poll where he was the first name mentioned. I wouldn't be so confident unless his name was the first one on the ballot.

The polls I have seen don't look very good. Are there some more recent ones that I have missed? He looked like a distant third in the ones I saw.

It doesn't mean "stop helping Peter if that's what you want to do." It means that, in most of the polls out there, he is not winning by any stretch of the imagination. Polls have been wrong in the past, but it does everyone a great disservice to say he's winning. This sort of talk was what started up nice and early during Dr. Paul's campaign; there was always a rumor he was winning this, or would sweep that... but the reality was he was not very well-known at some of those events, and dismissed entirely at others, and simply lost at most of them for a variety of reasons. Those who were yelling "we're winning!" the loudest have mysteriously vanished, and were fair weather supporters (they vanished fairly early, actually).

He is not winning. He is at least 25% behind the other republican in the latest polls that I've seen. This can change with vigorous campaigning though.

He's running in the wrong state. CT is definitely a "left wing" state, or I guess I should say they have embedded socialist leanings. Best of luck to him though, he's put a massive amount of his own money toward this.

Not this time around. Polls have Blumenthal leading McMahon by only 10%. He is vulnerable, and there could be a Republican victory in CT.

If Schiff had better name recognition, and people actually understood his message, I think he'd have a far better shot at beating Blumenthal than McMahon.

That is a lot of "ifs". Schiff is a good man but he is just in the wrong part of the country. Just think what he could have done in a southern or even midwestern state. I think the lesson here is for people who have solid pro-liberty credentials and some hefty money to boot to locate to voter friendly places before running for office. I doubt Rand Paul could win this GOP primary so I don't see why anyone should be disappointed if (when) Peter Schiff does not.

What's your stance on abortion Mr. Schiff?

next poll result would have Peter at -10% (which isn't even possible) in one of those states.
