I looked more deeply into the Independence Caucus after they had endorsed me, and I really like what I see. It's true that a few of their endorsements have been questionable, but the vast majority are solid. Their first effort, one Jason Chaffetz, who while not perfectly aligned with us, is pretty darn close, including (I saw recently) coming out against our wars and overseas adventurism.

That makes him closer to us than the nominal 'tea party.'
