So, I have become really interested in the Ron Paul phenomenon. In my opinion, he's the best presidential candidate. I haven't been sure and I still am not sure how this all works. Recently, I printed out the voter registration form from my state's website. I filled it out and mailed it out. I will soon be 17 years of age and I'll be 18 before November 4, 2008 (Presidential Election). What do I do from this point? Am I supposed to wait for a notice to be mailed to me? How and when do I vote for Ron Paul to be the nominee of the Republican Party? I'd appreciate advice on what to do.

What state are you in? The rules are different in every state.

You should get a notice in the mail soon. Call your city hall if you don't get it within a couple of weeks.

Also check the date of the primary election or caucus in your state and see if you will be 18 before then.

That's when you vote to make Ron Paul the Republican nominee.

My state is N.J. It says that the primary is closed and the date is 2/05. I don't comprehend that. However, I will not be 18 until October of 2008. Does that I mean I won't be able to vote for Ron Paul to be the Republican nominee?

The Primary isn't technically considered an election, so if you will be 18 by the General Election in November, then you should be able to vote in the presidential primary in February.
You might want to go to the clerks office in person, because they aren't always the brightest folks in the world and might reject your app in the mail.

should have most of the info and contact data that you'll need.

Closed primary just means registered democrats cant vote in the republican primary and vice versa
