Two hours and 17 minutes. Hopefully it gives the campaign some Schiffmentum.

In one of their earlier polls,it says that most voters don't think that Blumenthal's lie affects the race.I really can't understand that at all.To my mind,he was wading through other mens' blood and stamping on their corpses toward his own ambition.

That's American politicians favorite sport.

This isn't official but its pretty close to it. I can't post Schiff's numbers, all I can say is that its not over until we say its over, and if Schiff pulls this off, it would literally be the biggest upset since David slayed a certain giant Philistine a few thousand years ago. Keep the faith people we have to keep pushing. Anyways here's the link.

What's with polls coming out at such weird times? 6:30 am. The one for Rand was at 10 pm on a saturday.

I gotta say, this is very discouraging. Over 100,000 calls have been made. The ad has been playing since Saturday. People started receiving the mailers on Saturday. All he did was go up 1%? This shows the power of the media.

He hasn't moved at all??!
Very disappointing.

The idiotic voters wait for the media to tell them who to pay attention to. They probably dismiss Schiff because the news doesn't mention him.

This poll was conducted from July 28 through Aug 2 so possibly no one who answered in this poll knows all of the McMahon connection with Democrats.

Kick ad just started running on Aug 2.

Good to know! Although I believe the ad started on the 31st, but began airing more frequently on the 2nd.

It does make me feel better, but what about the 100,000 calls? They didn't make a difference at all?

I believe the ad was available on Youtube as early as Thursday but did not run on TV until Mon. The news picked up on it and showed it earlier than Mon. though.

McMahon under 50% is the best news considering she has spent 20 million, her support is very soft

we still have a chance. Simmons is ruining it for us though, stupid idiot but that's the plan, he's the shield for McMahon. wonder what his pay off will be

I wondered about this too. Think about it. Simmons stopped his campaign but stayed on the ballot? That way he's pretty much guaranteed not to win but still takes some of the anti-McMahon votes.

it's definitely weird, if he had a shred of decency he would drop out and let Schiff take her on but he's the spoiler and McMahon's shield. He's doing her a big favor.

One possible benefit if Schiff doesn't win is that he will give himself a lot of name recognition for another run in 2012

I'm not surprised by these results, and I think they're probably as accurate as any other poll we've had during this campaign.

Simply put, Peter does not have the money necessary to penetrate the CT media. In order to be competitive, he would have had to spend at least 20 million on ad buys.

Sad, but true. Unfortunately, if you want to blanket Connecticut you have to buy into the NYC media market. It's incredibly expensive.
