Peter throughly schooled the Editorial Board guy. But they still endorsed Simmons.

Peter showed them clearly how an economy grows, why the United States became the richest country in the world, and how socialism destroys wealth. The fact they still endorsed Simmons shows that the people in the Editorial Board are self-destructive lunatics who would like nothing more than seeing this great country reduced to ashes.

If Ron could borrow Schiff's ego in 2012, he'd become president.

Wow, Peter tore the reporter's question a new one when he asked Peter about what government regulations were preventing him from hiring and expanding his business. Peter can handle himself in an interview better than anyone I've ever seen.

It's true. I hope that whomever ends up in the GOP 2012 primary takes lessons from Schiff.

Great interview! Who are these morons in the Editorial Board? How could they endorse Simmons after this interview with Peter?

Anyone know where Schiff got that "25% of the labor goes to the lord" definition of a medieval surf?

This just shows how centralized governments dont work. The average joe just doesnt understand it and is easily tricked or bribed by it. No matter how well it starts out, and we started better than any had before, eventually it always goes bad. We must finally admit the truth, this isn't working, we must end the Federal Government, and go back to an alliance of states. I call it a FMGS (Free Market Governmental System). Similar to a free market economy, state governments compete with each other and that keeps them from being evil, otherwise their people leave.

A medieval peasant had to work one day out of 6 for the lord as part of his rent to live on the lords land. A surf was an indentured servant, so technically a surf gave 100% of his labor to the lord.

How could they endorse Simmons after this? I also got so infuriated by the complete idiocy of the reporters. Could you get any more dense?! This just goes to show you that the GOP is as Statist and authoritarian as the Democrats easily. If you didn't think they were identical in philosophy by now...this should put you over the edge.

Oh yeah. Those guys actually vote. It is scary isn't it. Democracy is complete idiocy.

I don't have too much hope left in me because of crap like this. Democracies and Republics don't work when the people are this dumb. Even a lot of the people that actually joined the Tea Party movement, did it for the wrong reasons. It's very sad that to win people over we have to make them feel like they are part of a big group, because they don't have a mind of their own.

You got to give them credit, at least they let him get his views out there. I dont care who they endored, I bet when those guys go to sleep, they are thinking about what Peter was saying to then and when this phony economy goes bottom up, they will remember his warnings.

Or they might blame Peter Schiff for the whole thing. I'm serious. You can't underestimate the capacity of some people for denial and stupidity.

Especially the douch that was OK with the Patriot Act. Just because you like giving away your liberties for "Safety" doesn't mean I do.

"But I don't feel less free! What do I care?" No wonder this country is disintegrating.

That interview was very impressive on Schiff. The man is a giant. What a mind. Of course these fools wouldn't endorse him, then post some crap about how they are afraid of his "radical" ideas and "he only sees what he wants to see." Sounds like they were projecting their own evasions onto him. Connecticut Republican party fails. I hate democracy.

If every Republican CT voter watched this interview Schiff would win the election hands down.

That guy made me throw my bottle of water across the room & then rant about the mentality of a slave to my sister. It's useless slaves like that idiot that have turned this country into a big steaming pile of socialist authoritarian shit. This attitude of "Who cares about my rights, I wasn't using them anyway" is why I'm one of those young people planning on emigrating if Americans don't wake up by the 2012 election. If they re-elect Obama or elect some authoritarian neo-con Republican fascist, I'm gone & this country can go to the socialist hell it seemingly desires.

This interview reminds me of the Usual Suspects, except Peter was telling the truth. And unfortunately, the interviewers (investigators) weren't buying it.

Sorry, bad analogy, but that was what interview made me feel.

Excellent interview. This is the type of detail that I've been looking for out of Schiff. He really gives you a good idea of where his views on economics comes from from a personal level with the stories of his business. It's really refreshing to hear something so honest from somebody running for office.
