I'm interested in why some people didn't donate. I understand the ones that just cannot do it for financial reasons. I wanna know about the others.

Did everyone who chose not to donate watch that TV ad?? Does everyone who chose not to donate know that voters in CT have no clue that McMahon donated to Democrats in the past? And that they are begging to be convinced not to vote for her? Does everyone who close not to donate know that voters in CT who know who Schiff is, like the guy and that all they need is to be told who Schiff is? Does everyone here know that this TV ad is already getting some attention before even airing on TV? Blumenthal is already whining about it! Does everyone here know???

EDIT: Sorry. I meant o post this in the general section.

We still raised over 100k, that's pretty good.

I agree. In an economic depression that Schiff predicted, I'm sure he was well aware that raising a million dollars was highly unlikely. It isn't 2007 or 2008 anymore. The economy has changed. If this forum is still capable of donating over $100,000 in one day, I'd call that a very positive development. And we did. Times are tough for everyone, unemployment is at an all time high, so we should focus on the positive. Schiff got more in one day than the average person's yearly salary. Of course he needs more money, what campaign doesn't need more money?

I donated $100 3 times because people put peer pressure on me. ;)

$160k or w/e is pretty damn good for a Senate Primary money bomb! The $500k or refund was incredibly stupid, IMO, though maybe it would have been less than $160k if those conditions weren't there.

I want to know what Schiff is going to do. I don't want a refund. Maybe he can offer a way to deny the refund, and hopefully the vast majority if us won't take our money back.

Peter always talks about the $20K viewers on his youtube channel. I'd bet Ron had a pool of $2 Million + people that were donating to his 2008 campaign. Peter's pool of donators is just way too small to get to $500K-1000 Mil in 1 money bomb.

Where did you get that number? I think it was closer to 20,000.

It only stands to reason that Dr. Paul's pool of donors would be larger than Schiff's, but I don't have any numbers on that.

* * *

I didn't donate.

Yeah, that's nonsense. At $35 million raised, 2 million donors yields an average lifetime gift of $17.50, which just ain't right.

I gave what I could. It said that he would return the money if it didn't go over 500,000, but I think he should keep it regardless.

I'd say that would be a pretty shitty move.
