Our presence there certainly hasn't stopped these occurrences, this being so recent. We have three choices:

1. We can either keep doing what we're doing, continue to bankrupt ourselves while we kill Afghani girls like her and her family until we eventually have to leave and they're back in power anyway.

2. We can just level the whole damn place via total warfare and kill all the Afghani girls like her, pissing off God knows how many people along with killing God knows how many people.

3. We can leave, and leave Afghanistan to the Afghanis. Foreign powers can't just 'fix' their government, it's been tried and it's failed. If their oppression is really so terrible for them, they'll have to throw off their own chains.
