Wasn't the press reporting that he had $3.4m net of debt? If the net is $1.7 AFTER the debt, he is in worse shape that previously understood.

Well maybe he paid off some debt with his contributions. So right now I read it that he has 3.4 million cash on hand, but owes 1.7 million in debts that haven't been paid. If his fundraising doesn't improve he will be hurting soon when everyone else starts advertising.
