It's not a partisan thing....a cool feature in the game. I'd be excited about it if I spent a lot of time to win the championship, although I'd curse at my screen all the same. :p

I don't get to tackle him?

It IS partisan. No President was ever in the game before. I wouldn't mind if they have you meet a President with Obama's likeness, but then they go and have him hold a jersey with his name on it.

They just thought of something new... not exactly a big deal...

I never really got into Madden games (EA Sports games in general). It seems to me they only ever really change a few things about the game, from year to year. Usually it's the controls that change, and some updated rosters; you can set the price of hot dogs at the concession stand, then the next year you can set the price of hot-dogs and foam-fingers, wow!).

My PS3 died, anyway. I won't be getting any new games for a while. :(

But this one has the president in it, so I'm really heartbroken about my situation now.

—Okay, not really.

What really sucks is that my Red Dead Redemption disc is still in there. The disc is no good without the system, obviously, but that's a game with some great libertarian-themed undertones.

It wasn't in the game before but they have a $300 million a year franchise that has to come up with new features year after year for over 20 years. Not exactly a big deal - the team that wins the Superbowl (and every other major team sporting event) always meets the President in real life.

Vote with your dollar. Don't buy the game.

I have to agree that Red Dead Redemption was definitely had a anti-government stance.

The main character just wants to get home to his family, but the government won't let him..

Got to love the Socialist Revolutionary part too..
