I used to respect HuffPo for being an open forum. They used to let you state your opinion even if they disagreed if you were civil.

Well it appears to not be that way no more if you are against war.

On a thread saying that extending the bush tax cuts would save 2 billion I posted this.

“2 billion in tax cuts is a drop in the bucket, the 3 biggest problems are..... The war on terror 1-3 trillion (Depending on whose figures you believe). The wasted stimulus 862 billion The wall street bailout 750 billion. These 3 items are the real problem”

comment was deleted for according to Huffpo.

Guess being against a war is against huffpo's guidelines, libs hate the war until it is theirs, then they censor you when it's their war. Hypocrites. If I had my way, political parties and PACS would be banned and people would have to think for themselves as individuals.

They also deleted no offensive posts against the wars on other threads, this country is so screwed.

War is good when their thug is in office. Remember that the war in Afghanistan is now about woman's liberation.

I am not terribly surprised. Some of the most hateful and bigoted people around are the Huffington Collectivist Borg.

You should have known the Rules....

#1.... Republicans, Conservatives, Libertarians, 'Tea Baggers', Moderate Democrats etc. are Fiction basis life forms, with fiction based ideology, who reference fiction based facts.

#2.... Bush is to blame for everything. Bush {single handed'ly with no help from Congress} went buck wild spending money on the wrong things, and is responisble for the debt. Obama OTOH spends money on the "right things"... so it cant even be characterized as spending, or debt......

There's more rules, but you get the idea.

Suggesting that Obama spent or debted is a fiction basis opinion... and you are a racist, and otherwise hateful individual for mongering such bigotry.

When Right Wingers step out of line the way you did.... it is not uncommon for hacker types to post your real name, phone number, and street address... so that Huffers can harrass you at home. I reported all my posts as abuse, and canceled my account. Not that I went too far, but it wouldnt be terribly hard to do.

War is good when their thug is in office. Remember that the war in Afghanistan is now about woman's liberation.

Meanwhile, from some of the women these cretinous thugs claim to be concerned about:

The so-called ‘new’ strategy of Obama’s administration and the surge of troops in Afghanistan have already dragged our ill-fated people in the danger zone and his 100-day old government proved itself as much more war-mongering than Bush and his only gifts to our people is hiking killings and ever-horrifying oppression. This administration is bombarding our country and tearing our women and children into pieces and from the other side, is lending a friendly hand towards the terrorist Gulbuddinis and Taliban -- the dirty, bloody enemies of our people-- and holding secret negotiations and talks with such brutal groups.

The thread wasn't about the war, it was about letting the bush tax cuts expire would save a whopping 2 billion, I pointed out that was a drop in the bucket compared to the war and the bailouts, it was on this thread.

also on another thread someone posted about boehner's statement.

"Boehner(R) Wall Street reform in Congress is like "killing an ant with a nuclear weapon."

I replied

Funny he said that, That's how I always felt about the money we are wasting on the war on terror that could be better spent at home.

Very Civil, moderated out.

The funny part, is everytime I go there, and post stuff, I keep picking up fans, this is the first time they ever deleted my posts, I have always been civil, and reasonable, maybe the neolib mods are finally sick of seeing their flock turned away from the dark side?

The Huffington Post used to be a great site, sure they were leftists, but at least they were honest and good intentioned, sort of like somebody like Dennis Kucinich or the website counterpunch.org. Then about 2 years ago they totally sold out and became neocons, when you factor in their views on domestic policy, they're even more neoconservative than a lot of "right-wing" "news" organizations.

i'm on huff.po. lots of times posting my anti-war sentiments and have never had my comments deleted. Also, most other readers there are also writing posts against the war-- not sure why yours was deleted...

This was the first time for me, hope they just had a rogue mod on that needs replacing, and they aren't turning to the darkside.

Not surprising at all.

Socialist always do it this way. They play it with tolerance and good sounding rethoric for a while. Then when they have a big audience, they start deleting any opposition and start programing the people that are use to read them. And I have to say that they are experts at it.

I've been quite annoyed with the pro-war progressives as of late. They're no different than neo-cons in my eyes.

That Stephanie Miller chick really grinds my gears. She seems to get invited on Larry King every time Penn Jillette is on.

These kinds of changes usually correspond with a change in management. You would probably find some changes in key positions at the time that the "change" started.

You sure it was your comments on the war, and not your criticism of the Stimulus that got them all huffy? Ive noticed the general attitude among leftists is tolerance toward swe few who still criticize the ongoing wars, but they wont lift a finger to stop it all.

The Obama stimulus however, thats the work of God.

I originally thought that could be a possibility, but then on another thread this happened....
