I was curious as to how doctors/dentists/other health professionals handle their practice once they are elected as representatives or senators
Did Ron continue to practice when he was first elected?
Did he have someone buy into his practice, thus reducing his share of the work?
Did he outright sell his practice?
Was he just a member of a hospital?
I just can't imagine all the difficult stuff one must deal with while simultaneously campaigning.
You gotta plan to bring someone in months in advance. Additionally, you have to take care of staff, loans, and a patient base which may no longer have a doctor
That may be one reason why we see so few doctors and so many lawyers in the federal city
I'm on the path toward a career in the health field, and I also have minor political ambitions (local/state government), so I'm interested in this situation
