The Grand Rapids Press has been united in their hatred for this liberty candidate, but they unleashed a huge hit piece today.

Feel free to go to the comments section and defend Justin. Please don't call him "Mr. No", but please defend Justin.

BTW

Pointing to Amash's "no" votes on bills that toughened penalties for human trafficking, Hardiman notes his grandfather, a slave, was a victim of human trafficking

Amash voted NO because he actually read the bill, and human trafficking was obviously ALREADY illegal. There's no need for more laws, when the same laws already exist

Post this in general politics.

I'd ask the mods to move this to Hot Topics. You don't want the Googlebots picking it up.

ANd posting things in multiple forums just pisses people off.

At least they let him respond. Could have been worse.

Keep in mind, all of these comments against Justin are coming from other candidates' camps

That would explain so many things.

I've talked to countless people with differing views on the congressional race...and NEVER have I met a group of zealots like that.

Responded several times to their comments.

110 comments, already the #3 most popular article for all MLive newspapers (non-Detroit), "last 7 days" and it came out 5 hours ago. This is blowing up

Seemed to be a fairly positive article???

Seemed to me they painted him as someone willing to help his district at the expense of losing political clout.

Yes, perhaps "major hit piece" was an exaggeration. However, it did cater to establishment-choice Steve Heacock. Honestly, it's subject to interpretation and the GR Press is trying to paint Amash as too young, and too much of a liability because of his liberty views. The comments section is also every candidates' camp uniting against Amash, who is starting to look good with 13 days to go!

My favorite line from the article:

Reading every bill that crosses his desk would distract him from other duties, Hardiman said.

This Hardiman:

I had to post this in the general forum, too good of an article not to, especially what his opponents are quoted as saying. Unbelieveable! Even the average Republican out there is going to be swayed to Justin's side after reading this..

My dad saw this article, and noticed the how negative it was toward Justin. However he also said that this article is the reason he'll mot likely be voting for Justin. He didn't see the article as a negative and couldn't figure out why Justin was being attacked for being principled.

Guess the intentions of this article backfired a little.

Exactly what my family thought, I sent it to alot of them in an email, saying read this.. This article is an eye opener for those not aware of how the masses or media really thinks....

Edit: My brother was like this is exactly who we need to get into office. Keep spreading the word we are going to win this s%$#!
