High profile libertarian Republican Dr. Ron Paul is headed to Richmond for the inaugural Virginia Tea Party Convention to be held in October.
Richmond Tea Party President, Jamie Radtke, made the announcement Monday afternoon on Doc Thompson’ afternoon radio show on WRVA. Radtke is also part of the leadership team of the Virginia Tea Party Patriots Federation which is hosting the event at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
Mrs. Radtke said “Early Bird” tickets are available until the end of July with all information available on the website. Tickets were available up to the beginning of the Convention or until sold out.
Virginia Attorney General and Tea Party favorite, Ken Cuccinelli, is also confirmed for the event which includes a “Freedom Lovers Extravaganza” and policy break-out sessions. A Presidential Straw Poll will be conducted towards the end of the Convention. Dr. Paul won an earlier such poll at the CPAC Convention in Washington D.C. held in February shocking the Republican Party establishment.
