For some reason, when I read the thread title, I think of the tourette syndrome episode of South Park.

Well Al-Shabab (literally: the youth) is Al-Qaeda's arm in East Africa, so they're one and the same.

You can read this post for a good background (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=253232). Article by Michael Sheuer.

This kills me. The same people that rightly complain about Bush and Obama both using scare tactics and lies to sucker the American people do the same thing. There is absolutely no evidence that Obama wants to invade Uganda. This is baseless fear mongering that is no better than the neo-cons and democrats. If you are going to make such a strong accusation, you should provide proof. Attack Obama on his shitty policies, not on made up accusations.

Ah Sh*t! - Obama wants to invade Uganda! :(

What's wrong with this?

If he wants to mount up and personally invade that nation then that is his right as an American.

Perhaps he could convince Ben Stein, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin to join him in his crusade.

Meanwhile, our troops can return home from around the world while the President is away on his mission. ;)

Perhaps it would be easier to start listing the countries our government doesn't intend to invade. It's getting a tad tricky keeping up these days.

Individuals have the right to invade other countries?

Of course!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_military_company

However, modern-day PMCs prefer to call their active staff security contractors, private military contractors or private security contractors, and prefer to be known themselves as private military corporations, private military firms, private security providers or military service providers. They refer to their business generally as the private military industry, in order to avoid the negative stigma often associated with mercenaries.

The services and expertise cover those typically found in governmental military or police forces, but most often on a smaller scale. While PMCs often provide services to train or supplement official armed forces in service of governments, they can also be employed by private companies to provide bodyguards for key staff or protection of company premises, especially in hostile territories.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPA_Order_17

Contractors shall not be subject to Iraqi laws or regulations in matters relating to the terms and conditions of their Contracts, including licensing and registering employees, businesses and corporations; provided, however, that Contractors shall comply with such applicable licensing and registration laws and regulations if engaging in business or transactions in Iraq other than Contracts.

See how using the original foreign language sounds much scarier? It also works in reverse. La Raza (literally: The Race) Jesus (literally: Joshua). There should be a law, when people use a foreign language to try to deceive people, the English translation should be given.

I always thought that many Americans would be horrified to know that baseball is called "Kurat al Qaeda" in Arabic! (Kurat = ball, Qaeda = base) :D

But of course the whole "madrassa" scare takes the cake, coz "madrassa" is simply Arabic for "school". The media would be all riled up about someone going to a "madrassa", when that simply means that person went to a school.

The most prestigious Catholic school here is called "Al Madrassa al Wardiya (http://bit.ly/bC2jQj)" (literally The Rosary School).

Why not? A war on a third world country that last through four or five election cycles?
With the only anti-war choice being STFU? Sure. This is the attitude the country was founded by.

The only party I will support is a non-interventionist party.

Any party, so cold, that it does not consider foreign intervention the anti-thesis of individual liberty is incapable of recognizing the sovereignty of its own citizens.

I watched a documentary last winter discussing the recent surge in Christian faith in Uganda. Numerous AIDS infected christian residents having their illnesses disappear. PBS's NOVA was the show I watched it on.
I had another question. Do people realize that Barry S. became B Obama when he converted to muslum? Or am I misinformed?
