PRESS RELEASE
SANTA FE- Former Republican United States Congressional candidate and Iraqi war veteran, Adam Kokesh, will take to the airwaves with his own radio show Saturday, July 17 & 24, 2010, 2 to 3 pm, on KIVA 1550 AM in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
“I am very excited to launch this new platform for the message that resonated so well with supporters and young voters of New Mexico’s Third Congressional District during the recent primary election,” states Kokesh.
Don Davis, owner of Vanguard Media and KIVA 1550 AM, a reputable 30-year veteran of radio broadcast and ownership in New Mexico, brings Kokesh to a diverse line-up that features nationally syndicated and locally produced radio programming.
“Vanguard Media and KIVA are excited about our new station line-up that includes Adam Kokesh and the fresh, intelligent and young perspective he brings to our listeners. We look forward to this relationship that will also attract new listeners to the 1550 AM dial.” States Davis.
The Adam Kokesh Radio Show will initially air on Saturday afternoons and move to a Monday through Friday broadcast starting July 26, 2010.
While Kokesh’s airing is local, his radio show will also feature a national perspective as one of the youngest spokespersons of the Republican Libertarian national movement that is sweeping across the country and attracting thousands of traditional and young voters wanting a more accountable and responsible government.
Kokesh, a former Marine and veteran of the Iraq War, has garnered a tremendous countrywide support for his protest against the Iraq War after his homecoming and his support for better treatment and health care for returning soldiers. Kokesh’s You Tube channel videos have received over 250,000 viewers and his following is includes tens of thousands through his website and social networking sites.
“The topics of the radio show will be current and interactive,” states Kokesh. “I look forward to presenting a platform that will be engaging, thought provocative and encourage a call to action.”
The Adam Kokesh Radio Show can also be accessed via a stream on the KIVA website at www.1550kiva.com (http://www.1550kiva.com/).

My investment just beginning to pay some dividends... Congratulations, Adam.

Also, thanks RPH for sticking with Adam through it all. Never easy and often thankless

That is a great outcome! More people will probably listen to what he has to say there than as a congressman speaking to empty rooms on cspan.

I appreciate that :) The whole story is quite long... I'll call tomorrow and get more details of the show. I really am glad this worked out and that all of you who generously supported his candidacy can now see some concrete dividends. As I stated in the Thank You post, there are more things that will become apparent in time. All of you who stuck it out and supported K4C have set the stage for better things to come.

ONWARD! :D

Hopefully he can leverage this to attain a spot on KKOB in the market at some point in the near future.

The second picture makes no sense. Radio waves emit even further at night time (due to atmospheric bouncing). I know this as I am an Operations Specialist. :D Whenever I am on watch at night I can hear Buffalo on VHF, and if I throw on the HF I can hear New Orleans/St. Pete.

Go Adam inform the masses. :p

thanks for the pics matt. looks like the station will air to a lot of listeners. it even covers santa fe too.
642,527 Bernalillo County (Albuquerque)
147,532 Santa Fe County (Santa Fe)
125,988 Sandoval County
16,475 Torrance County
72,913 Valencia County
40,000-100,000 outlying counties
Total Coverage=1,045,435-1,105,435 out of the total population 2,009,671

therefore kokesh could potentially reach half of the states population on a regular basis, giving him the state spotlight and name recognition.
