Orlando is NOT South Florida

Actually, Orlando is considered South Florida. Considering I'm from St. Pete/Tampa which is directly west by about a hour, and that area is considered South Florida (Heck, USF -- University of SOUTH FLORIDA is located in St. Pete/Tampa Bay). Just thought I'd share that with you :D

Actually, Orlando is considered South Florida. I have never heard it referred to anything other than Central Florida. I did live there for 17 years though :)

Considering I'm from St. Pete/Tampa which is directly west by about a hourNo it's not..... :)

South Florida is anything from Lake Okachobee southward. :)

Hey Matt,

I might check that out and bring a few friends this time. I know plenty of peeps living in Orlando so accommodations won't be problem.

Actually, I say might, I don't know what my hangup is other than a ride. My business partner is quiting his full time slavery this week since we have enough business now to support two households, AND he is finally approaching me about all the good stuff I have been feeding him the last 3 years.

Yeah I AM going. :D I need to start planning this week!

There is a Days Inn and a Red Roof Inn right next door which will have cheaper rates than the Rosen Centre Hotel.

On the Florida Turnpike rest areas there are coupon books for the Orlando hotels. Using a coupon, we usually stay at Sleep Inn for less than $60 which includes breakfast and internet.

This is the perfect excuse to take a vacation. The beaches near Orlando don't have oil on them!

I believe the nice hotel is only $75/night. And that special extends for a few days before and after the conference too so if you wanted to make a vacation out of it, it's the perfect opportunity!

$75 is too much for a Red Roof Inn or Days Inn in Orlando. With a coupon you can stay for about $50-$60 at a nice comparable hotel nearby.

There's a lot of competition in Orlando for hotels so the free market has brought the prices down. Prices for hotels in Orlando are cheaper than the national average.
