Michael Steele Resignation
7-8-2010
July 8, 2010

Dear Chairman Steele,

Throughout your tenure as Chairman we have found ourselves defending you to fellow conservatives. That's because we are committed to honoring Ronald Reagan’s 11th

Commandment, which requires us not to not speak ill of fellow Republicans. Furthermore, we need to be unified if we are to defeat the progressive, socialist, liberal agenda that is bleeding our country dry of resources and wealth.

Unfortunately, for several key reasons, registered Republicans from across the nation are encouraging you to resign.

First, your gaffes over the past few have been embarrassing to our party. They would make Joe Biden blush. For example...

Your shocking comments about the war in Afghanistan showed a lack of knowledge and a complete disregard for the safety of our troops. This alone should force your resignation. But we've only scratched the surface.
When you called abortion an "individual choice," you aligned yourself with the radical left on a moral principle that is the cornerstone of our party. Protecting the life of helpless unborn Americans reveals the true character of a leader. If we can't count on you to defend the basic right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for of our unborn citizens, can we really count on you to defend any rights? You have been weighed and found wanting.
When you called Rush Limbaugh’s show “incendiary" and "ugly" you showed that your base (who loves Rush Limbaugh) is not your top concern. You claimed that these gaffes were "part of a plan." Unless of course your plan was to follow Tom Delay on "Dancing with the Stars"
When you first became Chairman, you said you wanted to recast the GOP's image in more “urban-suburban hip-hop settings.” If what we have seen is what you meant, then we want no part of it.
The Obama administration and the Democrat-controlled Congress are trampling the Constitution, which our forefathers fought and died to protect. Americans have had enough. Republican voters have had enough of spineless Republicans who cater to the liberal media and the Democrat Party. We need a Chairman who can harness the tremendous success of the TEA party movement. We need a Chairman who is ready to fight and ready to lead us to victory. We need a Chairman who can bring everyone together in strength, not divide us and allow us to be picked-off by liberals. We need a chairman who can blast the Democratic administration for runaway spending and lack of fiscal accountability and moral responsibility. But the RNC Chairman must set the example by having his house in order first (those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones).

Mr. Steele, because you have not been the leader our party needs, we are asking you to do the right thing and resign your position.

Thank you for your past service, but please do the right thing.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned Patriots

Talk about being trapped in a false left-right paradigm.

: "We need a Chairman who can harness the tremendous success of the TEA party movement."

Is the Tea Party movement for the occupation of Afghanistan? Are they for bombing Iran? Are they for the continued occupation of Iraq?

Apparently so, since they've been taken over by neocons.

...we are committed to honoring Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment, which requires us not to not speak ill of fellow Republicans. (Unlike this petition that the 'PubeLiCons sent out, or the way they treated Dr. Paul during the last election?)

...that is bleeding our country dry of resources and wealth. (Unlike unconstitutional wars and an empire?)

Your shocking comments about the war in Afghanistan showed a lack of knowledge and a complete disregard for the safety of our troops. (Sending our troops to be shot at, maimed or killed to protect opium is looking out for our troops?)

... are trampling the Constitution, which (Unlike the 'PubeLiCons?)

We need a Chairman who can harness the tremendous success of the TEA party movement. (Continue the false illusion that the 'PubeLiCons were not also targets of the TEA party movement.)

That was a stupid commandment. Why protect or defend someone just because they have an R behind their name? If they're losers, they're losers and should be exposed.

If they're so concerned about the safety of our troops then they shouldn't support sending them, to die, to a country that didn't attack us. Warmongering neocons.

So will Newsmax keep running commentary from Laura Ingram? We need to hop on this and start actively supporting Steele for making these comments. It's time to demand that the editor of Newsmax resign.

Make Bill Kristol acolyte Sarah Palin the darling of the Tea Parties and put her into the chair. Steele may still have some future in him even if that does happen. There is growing anxiety about Afghanistan on all sides. We'll have to see if he really has it in him or if he's just a player. Celente did predict a a third party.

Mainstream conservatives are still deluded hypocrites. They rightfully despise and fear the government on economics, taxes, guns, and religion. But then they always think the same liars tell the truth and are only out to the protect them when it comes to foreign policy. Makes no sense.

Good point. They want limited government, but they want the same limited government to pass a law forever outlawing abortion and prohibiting gay marriage. They also want a limited government to seal up our borders. They want limited government to allow prayer in public schools.

They don't want government telling them what to do; they just want government telling others what to do.

Newsmax put Ron Paul on their cover during the '08 election cycle. I still have the hard copy. It wasn't a slam. http://w3.newsmax.com/a/feb08/

We should all email steele's office and support his statements and for speaking the truth to encourage more talk like this.

Anyone has his office contact info?

Also it seems like all the warmongers and/or neocons out there jumped so immediately down his throat in such a way as to try to cause groupthink and manipulate public opinion in regards to such statements as if this is the opinion everyone should have. They don't want stuff like this catching on. Which is also why they all reacted so hastily in with such force and the calling of his immediate resignation.

Fuck em.

Regarding the Tea Party protesters as long as they pay their taxes the government doesn't care if they hold up signs or yell lol....which is why I say civil disobedience can get more done faster than protesting and voting ever will.
