Need feedback! Ron Paul image.

I made this poster today. I have not done graphic art in a while so it felt good to make this....

I think it looks awesome... like said, 2012 bigger and make Ron Paul full intensity, or closer to it, to establish a focal point..

my only other gripe is the ocean.. it links him to jesus and walking on water too much with the glow? maybe a different subtle landscape there? thats me being picky though.

Make the writing bold, make Ron Paul bolder instead of washing away with the background, and after these 2 changes consider whether or not you should make the rest of it a bit bolder so that the contrast isn't too heavy

I agree with the ocean and i suppose i can mess with that. I just liked how the sun was on the horizon like it was dawn or something...the beginning of a new day or something.

I'd drop the "We" from the last line, so that it reads "We The People ... Must ..."

I like the sunrise (could also be seen as a sunset) but its a good symbol of 'new beginning'... the water thing to came across that way to me.

really awesome design. I'd second what's already been suggested and add that maybe you should tone down the bright yellow color. It's a bit abusive to the eyes. In places the yellow becomes so bright that it turns white.

"Ron Paul For President" is the main message. Make it larger.
Reason & Truth, Liberty and Peace are sub messages. Make them smaller.
You can barely see Ron. Increase the opacity.
The beach/mountain combo makes me feel relaxed, not pumped.
The poster is too horizontally linear. Give it some angles to make it feel more dynamic.

I actually thought the way you put your name was very artistic. It's very subtle, and I didn't even notice it the first time I looked at the image.

Yes I would like these comments :) Your comments are very good points. Im not sure what to change the background to. I want it to be exciting but i really like the sunrise thing.

Hmmm I suppose I can re-word it. I mean its grammatically right i think. The comma is not really necessary if i remember correctly....

I can see how someone might be too relaxed with the sunrise over the water, but for me it symbolizes hope or awakening.
