Washington Post excerpt on efforts to curtail illegal immigration in other states, e.g. OK:


State Rep. Randy Terrill (R), who sponsored the measure, has expressed a desire to go beyond the Arizona law when he introduces a bill next year that would seize property from businesses that knowingly employ illegal immigrants.
Terrill cited the arrest last week of an alleged Mexican drug cartel member in Oklahoma as evidence that an "Arizona-plus" measure is needed urgently. He said the effect of Arizona's law has been to push illegal immigrants "straight down Interstate 40" toward Oklahoma.



Unfortunately, if the federal government were properly policing the borders of states adjacent to other nations, the travel of illegal immigrants within our borders wouldn't be much of an internal issue.

I'm not a fan of Russell Pearce but that other guy was both an asshole and a dumbass....couldn't even let Pearce talk because he had no argument.

i just don't think the state senator was very educated on the issue. he just kept saying "we need to stand up for america". the immigration lawyer on the other hand didn't say much either.
