Anyone old enough to remember this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_World_Wide_Web_protest

Do we have enough people who run popular websites to make this worthwhile?

I run approximately 25 personal websites.

The idea would be that we come up with a succinct message of why Ron Paul is so important to all of us and why you should donate to the campaign onto a master site, and then for 48 hours or some other length of time, redirect all traffic from our websites to that master site.

Hell, for effect you could have a secret URL that actually reaches your site, and give it to anyone who can provide you with a confirmation number for their donation of $5 or more.

Thoughts? How about brainstorming a domain name for the master site?

How would McCain-Fiengold or whatever it's called play into all this? Would the FEC deem the redirection an in-kind contribution, like assign the web-traffic a monetary value? You may want to post a redirect link, but not force the redirect... or something like that.
