Stymied by political opposition and focused on competing priorities, the Obama administration has sidelined efforts to close the Guantánamo prison, making it unlikely that President Obama will fulfill his promise to close it before his term ends in 2013...

Well, it only makes sense to keep Guantanamo open, since we're going to be AT WAR PERPETUALLY! I mean, where else are all those prisoners we generate going to go?

:(

Fail on every level, Obama; I have faith that you can do it.

Well, there is no use building another prison someplace else.

Too bad Obama didn't know he was going to faint from the sticker shock of closing Guantanamo before he made such a promise.

Reminds me of the video from Jon Stewart on Obama's Broken promises where he compares Obama's relationship to his newfound power to Frodo and the Ring.

Embedding the video didn't work so see it here: http://www.thelibertyupdate.com/obamas-broken-promises/

He said he'd close it within a year. So, what is the Left going to use now to deflect this?

Buyer's remorse... many individuals have a tendency to defend what they "buy," despite cognitive dissonance. It will be no different this time. I guess we can call this, voter's remorse.
