They took a ton of heat for the DISCLOSE Act.

The NRA has shown itself to take most politically expedient path.

They got caught with DISCLOSE but it would just be plain stupid to endorse Reid unless they are trying to lose membership.

Even if they want to endorse Reid, the backlash would be too great to be worth it.

That is exactly right. If a rumor would be circulated about the GOA endorsing Reid, we would probably laugh hysterically since it would never happen. However, the NRA endorsing crazy candidates doesn't shock us.

If Angle's people did start the rumor, kudos to them on great political strategy.

The NRA does recognize the Libertarian Party is 100% supportive of the 2nd Amendment, so that any NRA member can vote for the LP candidate if the other candidates are anti-gun.
