Party platforms are mostly pretty meaningless. A candidate does not have to adhere to any parts they don't want to. More important is what each candidate thinks.

Interesting that most of the spitting-angry folks leaving comments seemed fine with letting Idaho secede, should the population desire it. That's an improvement over the pro-Union sentiments of the 1860s.
