It seems to me that the Founders screwed the pooch in the worst way when they established the United States as a nation under Rule of Law. I say this because as Jefferson put it, the Law is often the will of the tyrant. Had we been established as a nation under the Rule of Principle, I suspect things would be very different today. Granted, freedom is preserved by people whose hearts and minds see to it that it is so, but I see no reason to provide the corrupt with any more ammunition against Liberty than is absolutely necessary to give. Had Principles of Freedom been places upon the altar rather than mere Law, IMO it would have been a whole lot more difficult for our corrupt legislators and courts to have gotten away with all this nonsense they have so successfully foisted upon us.

Any thoughts on this?
