In state Jack Conway is against Cap and Trade, out of state (in front of donors) he's for it.

In State Jack Conway is against Gay Marriage and special rights and now he's meeting with:
http://twitter.com/DeeDeeEdmondson/status/16469387795

Dee Dee Edmondson is the lady the Capitalist Banner told us about:
http://capitalistbanner.com/2010/06/18/jack-conway-heading-for-boston-says-same-sex-marriage-activist/

It's not that anyone here is opposed to gay marriage or anything of the sort. Our ilk believes in state's rights. It's that Jack Panders to what ever crowd he's in front of. He reminds you of the closeted gay congressman who gets married and has a kid for political gain, comes out against gay rights and still has a laundry list of lovers. It's insane how Jack would have two lives like this. In state who's a family man middle of the road against gay rights and then out of state, out of the mainstream Jack who's all for them.

More on Dee Dee:

Hmmm. Not a word out of anyone on this fundraiser.

I agree. It is hard to use the issue though, since it stirs all sorts of 'anti-gay' nastiness if we use this particular example. Which isn't fair! If the guy is a slippery two faced whatever, we should be able to say so. They loudly proclaim all sorts of things about Rand that aren't even true.

I've been TRYING to find Conway's positions and all I've been finding is non-answers (and pillorying of Dr. Dan.... I hadn't really noticed that because I was focussed on the GOP primary, but I can see why there is still a split on the Dem side!)

And I looked for a video of the cap and trade support, but all I could find was a lot of people saying he 'used to support it' in some articles. This probably goes back to when he ran for Attorney General (and used to support the Iraq war, as well.) Mind you, to the politically savy his idea of how he would have a cap and trade program that was coal friendly AND low energy rate friendly is very disingenuous, and to the extent it worked would ONLY be on the backs of huge subsidies paid for by the tax payer. Which is likely precisely where his BP support comes in, since BP is pushing cap and trade because it wants subsidies for natural gas, which it has huge reserves of.

You KNOW that is what the Dems are trying to come up with out of this unConstitutional PRESIDENTIAL commission on the BP spill. And BP will pretend to be dragged kicking and screaming on the issue.

I can tell you the people of Kentucky would be a lot more pissed off about a same sex marriage activist raising money for Conway..... than Alex Jones raising money for Rand Paul.

There is no comparison!!!!!!! And obviously DeeDee would be a much bigger story in Kentucky... but would bury Conway!

He is an empty suit with about 10 talking points and that's it!

The campaign doesn't have to do it. I'd predict that the same guy/groupthat pushed the "jack conway is gay" robocalls in past campaigns will do it again. Afterall, that guy already endorsed Rand in the primary and IIRC was instrumental in getting Dobbs endorsement too.

No one will ever mention this fundraiser in the press.

There probably was. I DID find a bunch of links to videos, which were dead. For example on 'rural democrat' they did a 'nostalgic replay' of videos from the primary with the note 'these may even stay up for a few minutes'.... but all the videos were 'removed by user'.

They scrub their videos over at the CONway camp.

I saw a pretty decent one by Dr Dan on Conway flip flopping from saying he'd want obamacare to include bulk purchase of drugs (who wouldn't, if we had to be stuck with it?) to saying 'it was time to be a Democrat' and support it after the vote went through, while pillorying Dr. Dan for HIS objections to the bill in the primary. On the issue of spinelessness, it spoke pretty well. Should we be saving these videos for future need before they disappear as well?

Seems Jack's friend and financial supporter is pushing Transgender laws in Mass:

well, there is the link. The very existence of 'hate crimes' is unConstitutional against the first amendment. It specifically penalizes an 'opinion' since the exact same act with a different subjective state does not have the same heightened penalty.

I still find it hard to get my mind around the idea that the United States has 'hate crimes'. Policing thought.

Jack doesn't like people calling him gay. Why would he be so offended? (TIC) Must know that supporting this legislation is not popular in Kentucky.
