Big-government supporters strike again

I have a Ron Paul 2012 Bumper Sticker and a Gadsden flag on my antenna on my car.

A few weeks ago someone stole the flag off the antenna, so (I had extras) I put a new one on, this time punching holes in it to secure it to the antenna.

Well now today I walk out of work and I see the Ron Paul sticker is off the car....and there are even obvious finger prints right next to where the sticker was (I just washed the car yesterday so the whole window is clean, and finger prints are easy to see)


I'm getting really sick of this. I just started putting this on my car a month ago.

Is this really gonna keep on happening?

If I ever catch the pricks who do this, I'll let them have it.

I've had some old lady scowl at me when I was picking up my mail and she saw my bumper sticker.

"Ron Paul, huh? That's who you're voting for?" she said pretty disdainfully.

"Yes mam"

"Waste of a vote if you ask me"

And then she walked off.

You pay for um - use um! PD non-emergency number, tell um you want to talk to a officer and have a lab tech out there.

Alternately, get a video unit w/ motion detection and plant it under another car, then record, review and follow the first step. KEEP A LOG!

We could get the prints easily, but what's the point if you have no suspects to match the prints with?

Whatever I'm gonna hit up ebay and buy extras, and try harder to catch whoever does it next time. The glass doesn't seem to be scratched or anything, though whenever I take stickers off windows, I always use WD40 to get all the residue off.


It just pisses me off that the people voting in America are the same people who destroy other people's property because they disagree with their political opinions.

You could have a sticker calling for the death of Ron Paul and Bin Laden for president for all I care, I'm not gonna touch your property...we all have the right to free speech and personal ownership.

I don't care if people make fun of me, but it would be nice if you'd explain afterwards....you said plant a motion-detection unit under another car.....so my question was, what's stopping the other car from leaving and someone taking it?

Seems like a fair question to me.

OP, the only way you are going to get these guys is if you start out-doing yourself.

Keep getting more extreme each time they steal your stuff until your car is completely filled with Ron Paul stickers and paraphernalia. Eventually they will get the point that if they steal your stuff, more is going up next time.

Fair enough. You can recognize your co-workers, right? And from that get to know what they drive - or even those that are not your co-workers. Does that car move during the day? Even if it does, plant it in a paper bag between the real axles. They have to pull straight in and out.

There are many alternatives - like mounting something on a utility pole in a container that looks like it belongs there, or a lipstick cam, a eprom, a micro controler and a memory stick in a weathered looking cig pack, discarded in a bush.

Losses of equipment are not that common, but tolerable and expected.

People rarely look up. Look up and around your work. Your building or a nearby one may have cams in place and the "crime" on tape. But these are re-used regularly so you have to followup pretty quick!

LMAO -- that's what I did. There was a corner in 2008 where people would steal the 1x2 RP sign, so I put up a 2x4. The stole that one too, so I installed a 4x8 sign with four steel driven fence-posts and 50 zip-ties. (that one never did get stolen!) :D :D

Yeah I was thinking about doing that.

Not sure if it's worth it though....2 things stolen in about 30-40 days, one every 2-3 weeks.

I'll just see if it happens a 3rd time.
