I don't doubt it, but I have a feeling they get far more funding form us prohibiting drugs.

It's really quite ironic--we're fighting a war on terror that will never be won because we're giving them the perfect tool for financing themselves; prohibition of drugs--which drives up their price, which makes it profitable for them to deal in (especially when you've got fields of poppies over there).

even if you ignore "blowback" (I don't think you should), this alone makes the war unwinable.
