View Full Version : Ron Paul Forums Conference/Gathering?
Has it ever happened? And if so, should it ever?
It'd be interesting to put faces to names, even though I really don't remember most of your names anyway except the gifted few :).

there were a bunch of us around at the Ron Paul BBQ last August, but we didn't meet together as a group -- perhaps that would be a good time and place to have
it, in conjunction with a Ron Paul event.

Why would we want our faces identified? If we wanted that, we would all use our real names, have our real faces as our avatars, and put our real addresses in our profiles. Feel free to go for it, but I’ll prolly decline.

Ronstock was fun, but we were kind of outnumbered by other protesters who kindly helped us finance it in exchange for a place to pitch their tents (I guess that's the best way to describe polite party crashers). And we were kind of busy with other things at the time.
Yes, indoors or out, it could be a good time. Only problem is, no matter where you do it someone's going to have to go a long way to get there. Such is the Internet Life.

Looking at the suggestions thus far it seems almost impossible to separate having a good time enjoying liberty with political events. Polluting myself at some political event is not my idea of a good time.

I agree, and that's probably the ultimate reason I wouldn't be likely to attend an RPFs gathering. It's going to be political rehash without the "off" switch my computer kindly provides ;) All that said, I voted "yes" because I think it's a great idea for those who'd like to do the same things they do on the forums... but in person. This place is background noise, and just a bit of entertainment. I don't think I could stand making it my focus 24/7 for a week. :p

I have met several of the posters in this very thread, and I found them all to be quite pleasant and social folk. I won't list who/when out of respect for their privacy, but you do inevitably meet rpf members if you venture away from the computer and attend liberty or political events.
Will try to make the Iowa strawpoll (if there is a reason to do so as in Ron runs) in 2011, but will be at cpac 2011, and maybe Freedom Fest 2011.

As for looks, who knows? Everyone can't look like Bo Derek. But as good company, I'm thinking all of you are indeed. Calling any of you a mere nine and a half is just plain unjust.
That said, I can't believe you didn't even mention Amy, much less start with her. Not because none of you can equal her or anything like that, but merely out of respect for the alphabet...
