The MSNBC prime time anchor parted ways with the far-left Web site Daily Kos on Wednesday, citing the site's apparent unflinching, see-no-evil attitude towards President Obama, and the omnipresence of wild leftist conspiracy theories there.

Apparently his pantys were all in a bunch over the criticism he got for ragging on Obama. (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=249782&highlight=olbermann)

I read something at fivethirtyeight a week or so ago about the pollster Kos was using....I think Nate demonstrated that the pollster was pretty severely biased so Kos ended up getting rid of that one, IIRC.

I actually think when/if it becomes apparent that Obama is going to get thrown under the bus, you will see a lot of MSM personalities not just support him but actively distance themselves from him. I thought the Chris Matthews/Olberman comments were early signs of that and makes me wonder if Obama's days as Prez really are numbered (not just until the next election)

BOzo had lunch today with Maddow and a couple other progressive pundits.

I'm sure they'll see the light now, and stop saying mean things about him.

The Obama criticism from the Left is fake in order to rouse Liberals to support more energy legislation. It's the same as the fake Right criticism of Bush when they pushed for more military legislation.

That makes sense, Vessol, especially in light of recent polling that shows the "enthusiasm gap" between GOP and dem voters is pretty large....

They need their base to get very VERY riled up.

That's also why they're whipping out the race card every chance they get, etc etc.

It's all intended to get their base fired up so they'll turn out to vote come November...

I agree, this is all to make Obama appear like a centrist to give him cover to push through a radical agenda. It's the oldest trick in the book.

I don't know if left/right fits.

Markos whathisface said he wanted to be in the CIA. For many, the question remains, was he? Then we have Obama whose first job was for a CIA front company. Perhaps these two have something very interesting in common. Markos is also from a family from Central America. I've always found that very curious, considering the activities of the CIA down there and Markos being on the "left". Did Markos want to run a death squad or something? It wouldn't surprise me.

The conspiracy theory that pissed me off was started by Olbermann, that the Republican voters of South Carolina conspired to vote for Alvin Greene.

The conspiracy theory that pissed me off was started by Olbermann, that the Republican voters of South Carolina conspired to vote for Alvin Greene.

1. Wasn't started by Olbermann, it was started by South Carolina dems, like Clyburn

2. It has happened before. While it may or may not be the truth with Greene, Republicans have funded Dems in SC before.

Page Six: Olbermann Went Nuts Over First Class DC Train Ticket, Ketchup Packets At Kennedy Center; Olbermann Denies

The source said Olbermann was screaming into the phone on Tuesday because there were no first-class train tickets available for that day, and he wanted to make sure he would ride first-class on Wednesday. According to the source, Olbermann berated a staffer who was coordinating Wednesday's Kennedy Center memorial by yelling, "You better hope to God there is a first-class train ticket tomorrow."

Our insider elaborated, "MSNBC was dealing with who could come to the private ceremony Tuesday and who couldn't, among the hundreds of people who worked with or for Russert - and Keith was ranting about not getting a first-class ticket."

We're told Olbermann didn't get to Tuesday's ceremony, and went to Washington by car to broadcast from outside the Kennedy Center the next day. An aghast witness there said, "As guests were making their way into the memorial, Keith went apoplectic because there were no ketchup packets at the Kennedy Center."

Olbermann was heard saying outside the service, "this place is going to hell," because his Washington staff couldn't find ketchup packets for lunch at the Center. An NBC insider claimed, however, "Keith did not have lunch at the Kennedy Center and was not eating on the set because he was anchoring a broadcast."

Here's where it doesn't make sense.

If Republicans in South Carolina are so powerful that they can decide the Democratic primary than clearly they would be powerful enough to decide the general election.

So why even bother? Sounds like a lot of work and effort for nothing.
