A comment on a youtube video says RP is slated to be on the Tonight Show on October 30.

Has anyone heard anything about this?

Is there some way we can have a campaign to get Ron Paul on the Tonight Show? Would it work to call them up and request it, or would that hurt the cause? (I don't see how it can hurt, because if they don't put him on, we're in the same place we are now, and if they have him on for even one appearance, it would be grand publicity.)

The best way to get Paul on the Tonight Show (or any other show) is to donate.

Money buys interest and credibility with the MSM. And it allows the campaign to buy advertising, which raises poll numbers, which further increases his credibility.

I agree with this, but I also think the paintthetownron idea also brings out some of the "credibility" stuff. More signs more credibility. If there are enough signs, especially in the residential areas, there comes a point where a person can't assume a small number of people put them up.

Get him on the Tonight show and the Late show and we are going to get voters for sure. Especially towards the end of the month when things really start to kick in the 2nd gear and more people start paying attention.

If you guys want to generate enthusiasm and curiousity to get him on the tonight show you have to paint the town Ron in the town where The Tonight Show is broadcast from... Its definitely LA.. Something tells me Burbank.. but I dunno... Its easy enough to find out... When they see RP splattered all over their town they will want him on.. Do we have a meetup group out there?

Yup it's Burbank...about 2-1/2 miles from where I work in Toluca Lake. The North Hollywood Meetup has this territory pretty well covered...there's no lack of Ron Paul awareness heightening around here, I assure you.

Definitely. And what if there were a lot of signs between Leno's residence and the studio (so he would see them when he went to work)? :D

He is a HUGE car fanatic and he LOVES driving his super rare, ultra exotic machines to work. This is a MUST. Someone get the word out to the meetup group out there to make this happen!

I know someone in the industry who tells me that the October 30 Tonight Show guest list has not been released yet. He says he'll try to find out in advance of the show.

But I know if he doesn't have the list yet, then people who work for the network are the only people who legitimately know if Ron's going to be on.

Yesterday, my friend talked to someone at the Tonight Show who said that it is "possible but unlikely." The show is going on vacation (repeats) next week, and the schedule for the week after is still fluid.

Unfortunately for our planning, the current situation boils down to

Makes sense since it was up on the official campaign site for about an hour before it was taken back down. If it got put up there then its definitely a done deal.

Wooo Hoooo I put in a request to get a pair of tickets... I'm going to go to city walk to see if I can get some there too... I MUST be there! If I have to I'll get there at 3am and stand in line for the stand-by seats!!!

couple people emailed me on how to get tickets, so this is what i did.... i went to the website:

...and got the address to mail in for request:
Tonight Show with Jay Leno Headlines
3000 W. Alameda Ave.
Burbank, CA 91523.

I already mailed mine today and live very close so I got a head start on everyone so I'm not worried about competition ;) Hopefully I get a pair of tickets like I asked for.

You can also get them by going to citywalk and requesting them, I'm going to swing by there in the next few days and see if I can get some there also.

And you can also wait in line in front of the studio for tickets, but those are stand-by I think. They have 3-4 different types of tickets, I don't remember it's been a while since I went.

If you have universal studios season passes you can go there and they have a booth in there that give away tickets also.
