I approve of this message. If I ever get another 9mm it will be a P226.

Niiice!
They should do another limited-edition run with the phrase "Molôn Labé!" engraved on the stock and/or barrel.

That. Is. Cool.
The only Sig I've ever owned was a P230 in .380.
Sold it years ago and wish I never did, was a nice little carry/back up piece.

$1200 bucks. Sorry. Just not THAT impressed. Collectors piece at a 1776 run probably guaranteed investment.
Other than that it is just an handgun with some scroll work.

That looks like something that may have an extreme collector's value in the future.

I like the handgun, but I feel that the branding is woefully misplaced. Gadsden belongs on a long-gun not a pistol. Sorry for being a Debbie Downer, but looking at this all I can think over and over again is "out of place. out of place." Put this on a rifle and I'd be a lot more interested. On a pistol, to me, it speaks the wrong message. "Don't tread on me or I'll keep you from mugging me at short range, but God forbid you try to bring tyranny down upon my head -- then I'll just lay down my mostly-ineffective pistol and die, thank you very much."
Yeah, the pistol is cool, but somewhere deep in my heart I can't help but think that the choice to put this on a pistol instead of a rifle actually corrupts the intent of the message "don't tread on me." I'd have a hard time being proud of this pistol even if it was given to me as a gift...
(sorry) :o

exactly. For $1,200 i could probably get matching S&W .40's and a 250rds of ammo from the right person.

All of these "commeratives" are art pieces and carry price tags way over their functional value as weapons.

Sniper rifle, assault rifle, main battle rifle, pretty much any long gun but a shotgun. THEN it would be very appropriate. :D

If someone is pointing a gun to your head, it matters not if it is a defensive or offensive weapon. imo

If someone is pointing a gun at my head it's because my rifle failed and I let him get within 400 yards.
