I'm in South Carolina and trying to decide who I need to vote for between these two candidates, Ken Ard or Bill Connor.
Bill Connor is a veteran who has spent a lot of time in the military. He says he wants to end the state income tax, supports the Fair tax, and has support from lots of tea party groups.
Ken Ard says focusing on ending property taxes or income taxes could break down into making tax reform into piecemeal, or something like that, and so comprehensive tax reform is more important than focusing on a certain tax to end.
So far I can't find much more substantial information about them really. Well, there is a pdf on Ard's site detailing his views on a lot of issues. Its mostly the usual stuff, more war, more war on drugs, although he does oppose government ran education. An exception to that though is that he does think intelligent design and creationism should be taught beside evolution. I assume he feels that all schools should be made to teach all 3 even if they would prefer to only teach 1 or 2 of those theories.
So far I'm leaning towards Bill Connor.
