Just had to post this given the tweets about Rand's stance on MTR, not that that has ever been a secret. It is amazing that when national media finally focuses on a race they think everything they didn't know themselves wasn't known to voters....

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/KY-mountaintop-mining-OK-with-apf-586035829.html?x=0&.v=1

Even daily kos was pissed...

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2010/5/13/866192/-Jack-Conway-flips-on-COAL!!

YouTube - Conway supports MTR (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hU1E4lvsAqg)

Mind you, I ONLY post this for national media, because Kentucky DOES NOT THINK THIS IS THE WRONG POSITION.

Only the fact that he was against it before he was for it is troubling to Kentucky.

No they're lowlife hypocrites. They are slamming Paul as a satan incarnate for supporting MTR but they aren't calling out Conman for it. It's just like Iraq and the Patriot Act..it's an "issue" of GRAVE IMPORTANCE and incoming fascism when the Dems are running for office but when their man does it then they ignore it and still smear the right or they shut up and pretend like it's not a big deal. See Olbermann vs Greenwald (http://www.salon.com/news/opinion/glenn_greenwald/2008/06/26/olbermann): and then the vote to renew the Patriot Act (nice commentary (http://hotair.com/archives/2010/02/26/patriot-act-renewal-passes-house/)) without a whisper.

If Rand ever talks to anyone on the left he should just talk to Greenwald. He's the only one (maybe Jane Hamsher) that wants to build bridges and is principled instead of "caring" about things until the next election (Maddow, Olbermann).

Oh and that Daily Kos "post" is just a random blog post buried somewhere on their website. Read the comments it's groupthink, ad hominem i.e. "You're a Mongiardo Staffer" and then political pragmatism.

Since Rand is saying it though the liberals are screaming bloody murder.

Yeah, but it was before the primary. Essentially this made the AP months ago. ALL the candidates supported MTR.

in terms of coal, frying pan and/or fire by analogy
is agruing deep mines verses flat-topping hills
and mountains. the ecoSystem scars verses
black lung. this is why windpower and oil
make the pitches they do yet KY is coal.
