(didn't even mention the Judge, who gave an excellent speech, as always.)

...

Medina was greeted with rapturous applause. "For those of you who were feeling a little bit unwelcome and a little bit unappreciated [at the state convention]," she told her followers, "I wanted to be sure, by golly, that you knew that there were people around this state who shared your ideas and who shared your enthusiasm for a restoration of sovereignty."

The advocacy group intends to lobby the legislature on issues Medina emphasized in her campaign, primarily abolishing property taxes, although organized nagging seemed the more accurate term. "We have to become that dripping faucet," Medina told her supporters. "You know, somebody finally fixes a drip, because they just can't take it anymore."

Anyone know how many were MEdina supporters of the 6000.

500 people attended the WeTexans launch, and a friend told me ~85% of the attendees were delegates to the state convention. I would've been another delegate there, but the senate district caucuses went so long I couldn't make it.

It is hard to pigeonhole people into groups. There was a whole lotta love for Perry, probably from some who had supported Medina too. The best candidate for chair, Tom Mechler, had a pretty decent showing of support too, even if he got third. My perception was alotta Medina voters were going with him.

I did see alotta Medina supporters or Ron Paul supporters though, but it is hard to give it a distinct number.

We freedom fighters aren't likely to go away, no matter who, no matter where.

Go Medina...

someone had a ticket # in the 1200's. if they were numbered consecutively, then there were more than 500 there. of course, not everyone that bought a ticket went. I also saw an entry on the Medina facebook page that said the dinner portion was cancelled -- could have been a hacker that made a false entry, because dinner was served.

I certainly hope that's true. I found her to be one of the best liberty candidates out there, and I hope she will, once again, have to chance to make her mark on Texas and the country as a whole.
