No, not those particular horns. The Vuvuzelas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vuvuzela) are unique to South African soccer matches. I am definitely in the camp that is against the use of this damn horn.

Orwell was writing about the language of INGSOC and how it turned meaning on it's head, in this case, the permanent warfare that Oceania was engaged in actually was peace.

To obtain peace by remaining strong is something completely different, the merits of which can be debated, but not what Orwell was alluding to.

Me and a few hundred US soccer supporters invaded an English Pub in Houston. Twas a good time. Too bad we only had 3 chants. The ever annoying and popular "USA USA...", "Team America! Fuck Yeah", and "BP Sucks". Of course the Brits had a whole bag of songs to sing.
