Soren Dayton is wrong. I'm a Republican, and I support Ron Paul.

That just means Ron Paul has supporters that aren't republican, just like Ronald Reagon. It doesn't mean none of his supporters are republican.

I am republican, but what does it matter, the GOP should be excited they are growing at all!

As an ex-Democrat, not only have I jumped over to the Ron Paul ship, I think I've jumped over to the Republican ship. If it wasn't for the war on Iraq/Drugs/Gays, I think I like the Republicans much better than the Democrats.

I left this comment: "That just means Ron Paul has supporters that aren't republican, just like Ronald Reagan. It doesn't mean none of his supporters are republican.
As a journalist, you should know the fallacy of correlations and the possible misinformation you can spread by making false inferences."

but i don't see it published yet..

The other talking point we can use here is that Ron Paul is growing the party.

Get Ron Paul elected and start a new party. The existing parties are stuffed... After that, change the media ownership laws.

Someone send him the platform of the Republican Party.

I read the Arkansas state party platform yesterday, and it is in perfect accordance with Dr. Paul's positions.

Four or five players cannot control radio, print and media as they do now. For christs sake, Rupert Murdoch became an American citizen so he could dominate information flow.

Check out this idiot: (http://thepinkflamingo.blogharbor.com/blog/_archives/2007/10/13/3289466.html)

A PINK FLAMINGO
I TOLD YOU SO

I have been telling you for months that many of Ron Paul’s more rabid supporters ARE NOT REPUBLICAN. Now, it appears as though the truth is out there and has been handed to us on a silver platter. Now Eye on 80 (http://www.eyeon08.com/2007/10/13/ron-pauls-supporters-arent-republicans/#comments) has more information that confirms my accusations. What kind of a Republican would do what he is doing?

Why are Republicans putting up with it?

Yeah, they should throw us out! That's how you win elections!

We are all Ron Paul Republicans now.

If I was old enough to vote for Bush in 2000, I would have....

I figured Bush out in 2002, so I voted Libertarian in 04.

I'm a Republican.....the Mainstream has simply forgotten the true definition of being Republican.

How stupid is it to say things like that, Ronald Reagan reached on both sides of the aisle, let them say what they want, as long as Ron wins the GOP.

I've heard that same talking point from Neo-con talk shows. It's a sneaky tactic to take advantage of partisan feelings in order to make Republicans turn away from the Ron Paul camp. They believe that Republicans hate Democrats more than they like Ron Paul. Let's prove them as wrong on this as they are on everything else.

Well, he also wrote:
Yup. The Ron Paul team is campaigning to non-Republicans to change registration… Awesome.

So, I don't see what the big deal is. I am not a Republican, I hate the Republican party. I am recruiting all of my Libertarian friends. Didn't someone do a poll on here to see how many of us were Republicans, Dems, Inds, Libs or other? We should do that again. If he is getting support from all over that would explain a lot as to why he does so lousy in polls of Republicans who voted last election.

We've done polls on here and aren't the biggest group Republicans? Either them or Libertarians. Anyway, when I first heard of Ron Paul I was neither since this will be my first time voting.

my stepdad joined the republican party due to reagan after having voted democrat his whole life. this is similar, almost a mirror of that movement but with a better candidate.

also, myself, as a libertarian, i am more afraid of the economic injustices of our government than most of the social ones, bc the economic ones threaten to topple our safety much faster. as a result there are certain republicans that ive always been ok with fudging on a couple of issues and supporting, such as buchanan. im sure im not the only libertarian who ABSOLUTELY opposes such things as regulation of the lives of private citizens who might slip over the fence and vote for Buchanan after watching him threaten to destroy the NWO.

Ron Paul's supporters are not Republicans.

Ron Paul's supporters are Americans.
