They highlighted the feature snooping on neighbors' contributions, and I got singled out:

Funny, there were three Dems and both Republican donations are for Dr. Paul!

Just looking around and I find this.

Ah, this is perhaps why she gets so much money...I know it could be a coincedence, a pop and son, 2 people same name same company...

That was kind of fascinating to search around with that tool. According to that, there are only 2 people in the town that I grew up in that even donated to any candidate. Granted, it's a small town of around 30K, but still.

Bradley, do you know whether contributions made to the general election are included in the quarterly numbers?

What do you think you are missing?

I'm under the impression that candidates can self-finance all they want...

Trick question, there are two different funds with two different quarterly numbers.

This doesn't include Q3 info, does it? I searched my zip code, and found ZERO contributions to any candidate, not even my own contributions to RP (which were all Q3).

Ok. So, what people contribute towards the primary are the ones that show up as the ones reported by the FEC as quarterly contributions, right? Because to date, I have never seen them talk about contributions toward the general election. I just want to make sure they aren't lumping them together when they report quarterly fundraising results.

Reporting on this can get sloppy. Yes, there is usually a "raised so much money with x amount avaible for the primary" or something like that.

No, third quarter filings aren't online yet.

I don't get how a person can donate $0 to a campaign, though:

I left out the donors name and address, forgot to mention that. I'm not fluent in donation rules over $2,300 per individual so it struck me as odd this one person has 8,400 in her campaign.

I believe this only reports contributions of $250 or more. Mine have never shown up in my zip code because I only contribute $100 at a time.

They just don't like Ron Paul in NYC. Look at 10023.

Yes, odd. It's possible someone made a contribution and it had to be returned for some reason.

Probably for a married couple that gave to the primary and general election fund.
