“The National Rifle Association is endorsing Republican presidential nominee John McCain despite differences with the Arizona senator on gun-show rules and campaign finance restrictions.”


NRA supports McCain‘s reelection? Well, it’s nice to find another turncoat organization like AARP which decides to use its name in a critical situation to help the Washington Establishment keep its power in tact, in this case, supporting McCain, a turncoat and traitor to the oath of office he took.

And just what is the McCain record?

McCain reached across the aisle in an attempt to give aid and comfort in the form of amnesty to those who have invaded our borders.

He reached across the aisle to successfully expand the iron fist of the federal government’s unconstitutional federal department of education which progressives use to indoctrinate our nation’s younger generation’s minds and train them to be good little progressives, and educate them to how sweet it is for Billy to have two daddies, rather than teaching them the three Rs.

McCain also tried to reach across the aisle to assist progressives with the despotic McCain-Feingold Campaign Reform Act ___ more appropriately dubbed the incumbent full employment act ___ designed to infringe upon freedom of political speech and preclude the American people‘s right, and especially preclude right to life groups, from airing political ads which mentioned the name of a member of Congress and their voting record 60 days before an election. What part of shall make no law which is found in our Constitution did McCain not understand?

McCain has also tried to reach across the aisle to assist progressive gun grabbers in their attack upon the right to keep and bear arms by attempting to ignore the Tenth Amendment with regard to the people’s right to keep and bear arms. One example being his support for federal legislation making it a crime for a gun owner in any state it the union to travel through a school zone with a firearm. Another example being McCain sponsoring an amendment to S. 1805 that would effectively outlaw the private sale of firearms at gun shows. And McCain tells us he is a supporter of federalism. Stop lying McCain. You make loyal Americans, who support federalism, throw up.

And what about McCain’s reaching across the aisle to assist progressives plundering our federal treasury with his support of the Stem Cell Research Act of 2007 and its federally-funded research? Were our founding fathers not clear in the specific manner in which Congress may promote the progress of Science? Did they not write in crystal clear language that Congress shall have power:

To promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries

What part of by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventors the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries did you, mister McCain, not understand?

In addition to the above listed times McCain used his vote to subvert our Constitution, let us not forget he is also in favor of cap and tax and even once stated “I don‘t know how any conservative cannot support cap and trade“, and, McCain also opposes drilling in ANWR.

And, it doesn’t stop here. McCain is also just fine with closing Gitmo, against using water-boarding in the interests of our national security, and, he voted for an $850 BILLION bailout for banks and car manufactures, which was filled with pork and special interest earmarks. I thought McCain was against pork and earmarking?

McCain also championed a further plundering our national treasury for $300 BILLION to buy failed mortgages rather than have the free market place work its magic.

McCain has also been an outspoken supporter of Clinton’s despotic and traitorous NAFTA deal, which is one of the progressive movement’s crown jewels, intentionally designed to undermine America’s dominating manufacturing base, undermine Congress’ constitutional duty to regulate our trade with foreign nations with America’s best interests in mind, and, the NAFTA is cleverly designed to make America interdependent upon foreign nations after our domestic manufactures have been closed down! And, it should also be noted the NAFTA unconstitutionally places the regulation of America’s trade in the hands of bi-national panels, the majority membership being FOREIGNERS who are our competitors, and can make binding decisions which are imposed upon our domestic manufacturers! If this in itself is not a signal of McCain’s disloyalty to America, I don’t know what is. And if this is not bad enough, McCain further poked his finger in the eye of domestic manufactures when he stated "I reject the false virtues of economic isolationism," while addressing the National Council of La Raza, "Any confident, competent country and its government should embrace competition," he said. "It makes us stronger." Funny how America’s domestic manufactures have had to first have their legs cut off in order to compete under McCain’s version of competition.

In closing, it’s nice to learn that the NRA supports one who has repeatedly violated his oath of office and has repeatedly worked to give aid and comfort [amnesty] to those who have invaded our borders.

The NRA needs to be closed down just like the AARP turncoats!

America, we have a problem, we have been attacked from within! We are being destroyed from within by a group of domestic enemies who have managed to seize political power and whose mission is in fact to bring “change” to America ___ the dismantling of our military defensive power; the allowance of our borders to be overrun by foreign invaders, the diluting of our election process by allowing ineligible persons to vote; the destruction of our manufacturing capabilities; the strangulation of our agricultural industry and ability to produce food under the guise of environmental necessity; the looting of both our federal treasury and a mandatory retirement pension fund; the brainwashing of our nation’s children in government operated schools; the creation of an iron fisted control unauthorized by our written Constitution over America’s businesses and industries; the devaluation of our nation’s currency, and, the future enslavement of our children and grand children via unbridled debt and inflation, not to mention an iron fisted government which intends to rule their very lives!

I’m still trying to figure out why the NRA has decided to get behind McCain when his voting record with regard to firearms ownership is not in compliance with our federal Constitution in various ways.

McCain was in support of the federal government entering the states and making it a crime for a gun owner to be in possession of a firearm while traveling through a geographical area in which a school happened to be located. This of course is not only a 2nd Amendment “infringement” with respect to McCain’s constitutionally authorized legislative power, and an attempted usurpation of power, but it also is a blatant violation of our federal Constitution’s 9th and 10th Amendments in that it attempts to negate powers reserved by the States and would also disregard rights retained by the people. These last violations are of course an assault upon federalism, our Constitution’s plan, and McCain’s positions on these issues contradict his blathering that he is a supporter of federalism!

In addition, McCain promoted using federal force to enter the states in such a manner as to make it a crime for owners of firearms to sell their property at gun shows. This of course is another attempted usurpation of power, would not only violate the 2nd, the 9th and 10th Amendments as stated above, but McCain’s position is also a blatant assault upon rights associated with property ownership. So why would the NRA come out and support the reelection of McCain if their stated goal is the preservation of the 2nd Amendment?

When we look at McCain’s repeated votes over the years to expand the iron grip of the federal government in various ways and places where the federal government is forbidden to be and which I have listed above, and considering McCain has repeatedly worked to negate powers retained by the States and the people therein, one wonders if advancing these causes has not become the real objective of the NRA and why they have thrown their support behind McCain. There was no other logical reason for the NRA involving itself in the primary and throwing their support to McCain.

I find it hard to believe that the NRA is not aware of the intended protections which our founding fathers intended when they specifically added the 9th and 10th Amendments to our federal Constitution.

Well, duh. If the NRA were more about guns and less about winning they would support the Libertarian Party candidate everytime, but they don't. Why? Because they want govt subsidies, not only freedom to own guns, they want govt programs that favor gun manufacturers, who are their primary concern, not the individual.

Regardless, Joseph is correct. The LP and/or CP candidates should be getting endorsed most of the time.

Thanks. Yeah, CP are also great on gun issues. But, unlike some GOP, candidates from LP/CP never want the pendulum to swing in the favor of gun manufacturers, they want only free market access to guns for the individual. period. I guess that's why they never get any nra endorsements.

Huge Victory in Kentucky

In the Kentucky primary, GOA supported Rand Paul against the party favorite, Secretary of State Trey Grayson.

Rand Paul understands that the framers of the Constitution viewed private ownership of firearms not merely as a hunting or sporting issue, but chiefly as a safeguard of liberty.

In the May 18 primary, Paul won a resounding 23 point victory.

GOA Supporting Marco Rubio

GOA-PVF was also the only national gun rights organization to support Marco Rubio in Florida against Republican Party favorite Gov. Charlie Crist, months before Crist decided to run as an Independent.

Rubio, a first generation American whose parents fled Castro’s Cuba in 1970, is a seasoned pro-gun leader who rose to the position of Speaker of the House in the Florida legislature.

J.D. Hayworth over John McCain

In Arizona, GOA-PVF is supporting the candidacy of J.D. Hayworth against anti-gunner John McCain in the Republican primary.

McCain, of course, is infamous for legislation to stifle the First Amendment rights of groups like GOA. But McCain is just as much against the Second Amendment as he is against the First.

In the run-up to his presidential race in 2000, McCain authored a bill that would have closed down gun shows. He also became a spokesman for the anti-gun group Americans for Gun Safety, appearing in ads pushing for several gun control referendums.

J.D. Hayworth earned an “A” rating from GOA during his twelve years in the U.S. House.

This is just a sampling of the important races GOA is involved in this year. With all 435 U.S. House seats, 37 Senate seats, 37 governorships and hundreds of state level races on the ballot this year, there are many more candidates being supported by GOA-PVF.
