Here's the updated N.H. ad for this Sunday's Union-Leader. Right now it's 6% funded for page A-3, the "front page" of advertising.

http://www.operationnh.com/newspaperad2.jpg

Notice we added the 800 number for people without internet access, and also touched it up a bit. You can donate here (http://ronpaul2008.chipin.com/union-leader-sunday-ad) to get it published next Sunday!

http://ronpaul2008.chipin.com/

Here are some pictures of a few of our past newspaper ads. They include Tuesday's ad in the Union-Leader & Concord Monitor, Wednesday's ad in the Union-Leader & Valley News, and yesterday's ad in the Nashua Telegraph, Concord Monitor, & Union-Leader. Now we're trying to do follow-up ads with a slightly different tone.

Looks good, one suggestion though. Would it be possible to incorporate his current campaign portrait somewhere? It seems kind of odd to only have pictures from 30+ years ago. If you put it next to the picture of him in uniform in the same size I think it would be a nice contrast. Just an idea, I'm not criticizing and I think it's awesome what you guys are doing.

Of course they'll pay attention to it! It's in the newspaper! The ad is big and it's beautiful. It's a work of art. You've got a Reagan quote on there with military personell and an immediate withdrawal from Iraq! They'll see it and they'll love it!

Yes. Slim Jims are great. However, they require legs to pass them out. So, if you or anyone else is close enough to go to New Hampshire and go door-to-door passing out Slim Jims, please, by all means, do it! In fact, if you are willing to do so, I for one, would be quite happy to contribute money towards campaign materials.

In the meantime, let's run this ad.

I am not easily impressed. That first ad is one of the best ads I have ever seen given the circumstances. We need to be using that one nationally. We need to spread the word. This one will draw in Christian republicans like nothing else.

Yes, but we also need to counter the arguments that Ron Paul is "weak on defense" and "anti-troop."

99% of people don't know these military facts about Ron Paul. They should.

If there is any place Ron will do well in, it has to be NH, I'd just ignore the polls and keep campaigning.

I chipped in $25.00. So who is doing that gorgeous color ad and when will that be in the papers? Also, what happened with the Sunday paper inserts project. Is that still on? I donated towards that too. I was disappointed to see that one pledge drive (what was it - 2500 people for $32.00) failed and was not even close. I pledged in the one other drive for a million people for a hundred dollars (I think that is what it is). We need another pledge drive for a more reasonable amount - Say 500 people committing to donate $50.00 or something like that.

Yes, I agree. But, they will not vote for him if they do not know about him or his stances.

I certainly hope that everyone that is even close to New Hampshire will travel there and join the folks there who are doing their best to get the word out.

For those of us who are not close, this Ad is one thing we can do to help out. This Ad will be on page A-3 of the largest newspaper in New Hampshire. Don't you think we should run it? I do.

Max is running the full page color Ad. He will show us the Ad again for a final approval, before it is placed. I would expect that he would do so within the next week.

re: the Sunday paper inserts, I'm not sure which one you're talking about. There is one that USAFCaptain is working on for Florida. Is that what you're talking about? If so, he is checking on some prices at last check. As soon as he gets a couple things nailed down on that, this Ad will be highlighted a lot more.

Doesn't that full page ad kind of give the impression that Paul is a big supporter of the war? I think there should be a line in there about opposition to the war. I mean any supporters it gains by making it seem likes hes in favor of military spending and the war are going to be lost once they look into him more and realize he is for the opposite. It would be important to show that despite his opposition to the war and increased military spending, he still gets all these military donations and praises.

What is the legality of putting someone else's phone number in an ad?
This is the legality:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Don't ever forget it! The campaign laws are unconstitutional. Just ask Scalia and Thomas!

This is perfect for "republican" publications. I will say that it alienates the liberals who support Paul a bit since it's all Reagan this , Republican that ... and Ron does have a lot of "liberal" / "democrat" converts behind him... and you should aim to get more with the advertising.

We should really aim to usurp clinton/obama's voter base, since they will not end the war nor change monetary policy etc.

Good idea maybe we could run something about the democrats wanting to stay in Iraq beyond 2013. Stress Ron Paul as the only real alternative to the republicans that started this war and the democrats that enable them.

Guys, we ran a different ad a week ago, several times and in several newspapers in New Hampshire. It highlighted the fact that Paul wanted us out of Iraq.

The ad that we are trying to run right now if for another purpose. It highlights his military experience, his support of the military/veterans and their support of him. It is often said that Paul is not "for the troops" and also that he isn't a true Republican. This Ad aims to lie those claims to rest.

I personally think it is a good ad and think we should support it.
