Photographers say BP and government officials are preventing them from documenting the impact of the Deepwater Horizon disaster.

Our First Amendment is supposed to guarantee freedom of the press.

It is our first Amendment right, but are you going to back down and be afraid they will hurt you, or exercise your right? :)

the first amendment applies to the government, not to private companies.
it's bp's lease, bp's equipment, its their business.

if I had a dime for everytime i've had to explain that to someone in our movement.
the constitution is used as a restraint on the government, not private business.
Congress shall pass no law abridging the freedom of speech.
