I don't think they can actually endorse anyone. Why do you ask?

I am a new JBS member.

I have not seen in any of their literature that they endorse RP.

However, what they advocate is simlar to RP's platform, BUT not everything.

JBS is a big supporter of the U.S. Constitution and VERY protective of U.S. sovreignty.

I hope this helps.

Here's a link to a JBS article that was posted the other day. (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=24178)

One of their members had a banner and petition at one of the local meetup's fair booths. They combined the two, and the event organizer said the JBS petitions atually got a lot of people over to the table.

It is official policy that they do not endorse any candidate, though most if not all the members probably support RP personally.

We should try to keep the JBS officially as far away from RP as possible. The public has a negative perception of the JBS and we don't want that image on RP. That doesn't mean that the JBS isn't a good organization, or that their positions are bad (I happen to agree with most of the things they stand for). However they can bring RP a lot of bad press if anyone picks up on the association between the two.

I agree. The same thing goes for moveon.org.

Will Grigg is the former senior editor at JBS, who was fired for advocating "anybody but Republicans" in the 2006 elections. He writes both of these blogs (here (http://freedominourtime.blogspot.com/) and here (http://jbsrip.blogspot.com/)), and both belongs on every freedom lover's daily reads list.

Nobody chronicles the police state (http://freedominourtime.blogspot.com/) we've become like Grigg.

This one (http://jbsrip.blogspot.com/) covers all the internal politics at JBS, how Grigg was fired over the article he wrote, and how the organization is losing credibility with its base because of its reluctance to criticize the neocon agenda.

Edit: Grigg is also a diehard Paul supporter, as you will see in his rantings about the JBS.
Edit II: He also publishes a daily "liberty" minute in both text and audio, here (http://prolibertate.us/).

I was just on their website (www.jbs.org) and saw a Ron Paul video link on their front page...

Just got me curious.

The JBS is not allowed to officially endorse a candidate, but you can bet that outside of JBS meetings their members are supporting Ron Paul. Infact, our MeetUp organizer is a local JBS chapter leader. Ron Paul himself has contributed to writing articles for the JBS and the JBS has written articles on him as well.

I intend on joining the JBS once the election is over. IMO it is the most established and important organization that has fought against the same policies that RP criticizes.

The Headquarters is in the Fox Valley area, WI. I have been told that some of the employees are very supportive of the meetup and may even take part in meetup activites on a personal level. The Company, however, takes a somewhat neutral stance.
