I don't like how they're trying to portray Lincoln as if he loved blacks and wanted to free them.

Ya, but calling it that takes away the negative connotations that dealt with just WHY the slaves were freed and it makes Lincoln sound better than he actually was since his only true goal was to keep the Union together.
