Ya know, when my wife saw that logo the first thing she said was that it sounded like a name for a gay porno: "12 on Paul". Just saying....

LOL jeez, just what we need - a rumor that Ron Paul is starring in a porno film!!

Seriously, though, the whole "numbers = letters" thing seems to be a product of the under-25 generation. These kids have grown up communicating via IM and text. To us oldsters, it's *always* going to look weird.

Hell, I'm still trying to figure out exactly what "Pwn3d" means and who the idiot was who invented that silly slang.

I honestly don't that it's obvious enough for the average peon to understand which sorta defeats the purpose.

I can appriciate the creativity put into this, but I tend to agree it's hard to really see the "R" in the 12.

Perhaps if the "2" was significantly smaller?

My brother also thought it looked like "12 on Paul." I think after RP announces that he is running in 2012, I'm going to sacrifice my back windshield again and window chalk it with the 12on Paul thing. For now, I will stick with my plain bumper sticker.

I don't think it's very good for the average person.

I like it here, but I don't think most people will "get" it. Also, it doesn't look very professional...it kind of has a wicked undertone to it.

Heh, here's the history of the word, from personal experience...

I'm 26, and about 8-10 years ago was very big into a game called 'Counter-Strike', a first-person-shooter multiplayer game on the pc, where a team of up to 24 people took on an enemy team of up to 24 people. Usually 'terrorists' vs 'counter-terrorists', with the intent of eliminating the entire opposing team, or deploying / defusing a bomb depending on which side you were on.

It was a *very* intense, and highly competitive game - professional tournaments with sometimes very large cash prizes were the norm as well as casual (public) play.

Anyways, when one player took a player out in a highly skillful way, or if one player eliminated the entire opposing team, or other forms of 'ownage' (owning being *utterly* kicking someone's or peoples' ass, or 'owning' them as in you've made them your 'bitch'), they might say, 'OWNED!'

Over time, it became increasingly popular, and more and more often as people would scramble to declare their 'ownage', or that they 'owned' someone, because the 'p' key is right next to the 'o' key on the keyboard... people started to say 'PWNED!', by accident. Eventually 'PWNED' was adopted as the computer game specific act of 'owning'. Understand, that even though it started with a 'p', it's still actually pronounced as 'owned', regardless.

After a while, the 'e' was even eliminated, and many adopted the term 'PWND!' for even quicker scramble-typing 'post-pwnage'.

How it got turned into 'pwn3d' is new to me, and seems like the new computer geek generation or it's 'mainstreamness' is causing people to try to hard. But w/e!

I agree

I showed it to two people who saw "12 on Paul"

Good online graphic, but bad bumper sticker idea.

I recently bought this one:

And one of my own designs:

http://www.zazzle.com/americans_then_give_me_liberty_bumper_sticker-128144280050622813

Tired of trying to convince grabby Americans that the Nanny State is not the American way? Well, stop talking and let this bumper sticker speak for you! Shame them into embracing Liberty over Welfare State Tyranny, every time you drive down the street!

I changed "Give Me" to "Gimme."

My "Viva Mario Teran" is my best seller!

Bolivian Army Sergeant Mario Teran executed the murdering, racist thug Che Guevara. The Cult of Che continues to romanticize their brutal Stalinist butcher. "He [Guevara] had all the characteristics of a ruthless dictator and opponent of freedom." TheRealCuba.com
