in order to clean up a blow-out, you have to get the well pressure under control.
if BP could send people to the bottom of the gulf, they may be able to find ways to neutralize the pressure.
that is what makes the oil flow upwards. it requires pressure.

Thank you for the info. Checked their site and found a bit more info too. . They do deal with trying to control blowout wells but it says nothing about cleanup of spills like the one in the Gulf:

Goldman Sachs also went short oil stocks and there is this coincidence where the movie Knowing with Nicholas Cage foresaw the oil spill happening.

Really?

Boots N' Coots is a well control company, their primary job is not cleanup.

The company was named after the "right hand men" of Red Adair who started their own wild well control company back in the 80's IIRC.

Didn't Boots N' Coots put out all the oil well fires in Iraq?

I think so, and they called in Red himself, out of retirement, IIRC.

They contracted with haliburton over in the middle east.

They recently get bought out, and a rig whose cement structure haliburton was working on explodes.

What a lovely coincidence. Pina colada anyone?
