Rush is more irrelevant now than he has ever been. He is still a heavyweight, but GOP politics these days transcends Rush.

Don't get me wrong I wish he would stop being so neoconish and get behind liberty and liberty candidates. He can be devastating when he is in the right...however when he gets it wrong it really discredits himself. The thing about Limbaugh is that he is invested in the Bush years and the GOP. He cannot just back out...he is always right all of the time...therefore it follows that he has never been wrong EVER(even when he was and is).

So a potential strong ally is hamstrung. Even if he wanted to follow liberty candidates and change his ways, I doubt he could. He would lose too much face. This is why I like Beck in some ways. People here bash him, but he changed...and admitted it. That's great for us.

Right now Rand Paul is the GOP kingmaker, especially in Kentucky.
