I saw one video of Matthews on this, but don't remember that part. Does anyone have this video?

The one thing these commentators worry about is having youtube videos of their mistakes. Someone should compile a video of every time Jack Conway or one of the talking heads on MSNBC announce falsely that Rand Paul is for repealing this or that. Compilation video of the media's "integrity" in this matter and then never actually trying to correct what they said, would be a great video for the campaign.

Matthews: "Rand Paul seems to sympathize with the goal of the segregation but not the law itself"

WTF!

I hope he meant to say he sympathizes with the goal of the segregation LAW and not the law itsef.

Slip of the tongue, or deliberate misstatement? You decide.

Allow me to paraphrase and interpret the commentators positions:

Rand is coming from a position that assumes everyone is inherently non-racist and that people can make good decisions about the use of their own property. As we know this is not true, all people are inherently racist and also too stupid to handle their own property, and the reality is that no one really owns property or has a conscience so it's ok for the government to tell us what to do and to be our nanny until we are as enlightened as our overlord bureaucrats.
