Please wait seven hours, then this topic will be discussed for the next six months.

Short Answer: Attorney General Jack Conway (millionaire) or Lt. Governor Dan Mongiardo, they are both threats in different ways, but it is looking to be a great year for Republicans and it's hard to see Kentucky electing a Democratic Senator in this climate.

They both have their +'s and -'s.

It will be similar to running against the former democrat Grayson. Both the democrats try to pretend they are conservative.

Yes, it will be a test. Our state has 3 dems for every 2 gopers.

i percieve jack conway as being very formidable. "Jake"of the courier-journal
badly wants to rake the Lt. Gov over some coals in many more ways than one.

Rand will be favored to win at about a 70-75% rate in the general.

He is leading in the polls vs. both competitors.

Conway is more liberal and thus not very suited for Kentucky. He was for ObamaCare and for cap and trade I think.

Mongiardo is generally more conservative, but not very liked among all voters. He even lost the last two senate elections to Bunning in extremely close races. Paul leads Mongiardo by more than he leads Conway.

Conway is a loose cannon, though. Remember what happened at Fancy Farm?
