HE MADE A GREAT POINT -

Ghouliani getting the Evangelical who would normally disregard his and his crazy ways by being an anti-IRAN hard liner as the evangelicals are big time pro-ISRAEL 2nd coming rapture groups.

Hollywood is generally more concerned about image and fads than good politicians.

Barack Obama supporters like to follow the trends. They want someone who goes both ways on every issue

He doesn't like Ron's small government inclinations. He made that clear when Ron appeared on Bill Maher.

Well , Affleck did say something like he thought Romney with the "Ken doll looks" would be the GOP nom.

When Maher said " Well, what about Ron Paul?" ( after he was sitting at the table with them a few minutes earlier)
Affleck " He seems like a nice guy, but..."

( On real Time w/ Bill Maher back when RP was on there. I know you guys remeber that.)

ETA: I don't remember him getting into any criticism of RP other than mentioning the Money/looks thing. My memory could be wrong though. I would assume he wouldn't like the small govt aspect, but as far as I remember it was more like a dismissal based on the reality of money, machine politics, superficial things, etc.

Yup, Brad Pitt is for him too.

The hollywood crowed wants gay marriage legalized. ( half of their friends are gay)

They want the poor taken care of through welfare ( probably to releive their guilt for making $60 million per movie)

They want a "Hip" President who makes the cover of GQ magazine.

They live in fantasy realities so far removed from the American norm I wouldn't know how to appeal to them to vote for something so real and genuine like Paul.

Keep in mind that these "celebrities" are not looking for what is "best" for America. They are only concenred with "looking like they want to help everyone" and they don't really get into the "machinations" of how the system works. Plus, they are also millionaires so for them to want hand-outs and and a billion freebies is okay with them because the impact will not even phase them. They have millions to burn so they support a system that gives them a bigger support base but it really taxes the middle class to support their wacky ideas.

Ben is not much of a politician type. He just doens't have it. He is a fence sitter and has NEVER given ANY personal opinion on anything that was 'against' public perception.

Oh and Pitts brat pack, Clooney, Damen, etc is really caught up in Pushing the U.S. Government to get involved with helping out in Dafur.

We heard where Ron stands on that in the PBS debate.

Affleck was very clear that he doesn't approve of how Ron would dismantle the government, paraphrase. Bill resisted and said that he thinks Ron just wants to scale things back so they're not so "crazy". This is all on Youtube. It was the post show discussion that he streams to his internet insiders.

They should pool their money and hire Blackwater.

I kinda like Affleck, not so much as an actor but as a person. In every interview I've seen he's always come off as a reasonable, nice, funny guy. I think he'd be fun to be friends with and hang out.

Here's an excerpt from a O'Reilly Factor segment he did in July 2004

I would say I'm a moderately liberal guy. I mean, there are things that I agree with the Democratic Party. There are things I don't. For example, I'm not a big gun control guy. I believe in all the bill of rights, including the Second Amendment. I'm not a party guy one way or another. I don't believe in subscribing to that. I still believe in people more than I believe in parties per se.

naw.. they want america -- US - to foot the bill on all their pet projects. I think that IF I want to fund help for Darfu, then I should push to a charity or whatever, same with Israel... I do NOT think that Americans should be MANDATED to spend their money where they dont want.

SHIT, ABOLISH the Federal income tax and let the government put a checkbox for a "tax" on foreign help... that way people can opt in if they want..

But Afflect, Damon etc.. all want to help -- GREAT!! THEY HAVE TENS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, let them help all they want.... but don't "use" my money for things I don't support.
But of course, this is big government and control that all the dems and repubs seem to enjoy. VERY STRANGE TO ME.... Do these celebrity socialists understand that most americans are not millionaires?

I"d love for any these nutjobs to write a check for 5million of their own money for a cause... look at Oprah, a friggin Billionaire, and she is always trying to check donors for her pet projects... IF YOU WANT TO GIVE, DAMMIT - THEN GIVE.
